Hey gang! Happy Holidays from your "true blue" Lunchboxing correspondent, Lou Diamond Phillips! I'm here with five great gift ideas that will have your baby-tots clamoring around the Christmas stocking or Chanukah socks (Jews!) all throughout the holidays and well into the New Year, guaranteed! How do I know? Because in the 80's, I was in the movie La Bamba! Gift #1: Get the movie La Bamba on VHS! I am not sure if it's available on DVD yet, but if it is that might be a sweet choice too. BABY-TOTS LOVE DVDS, and who the fuck knows, maybe there's some weird special bonus features with me talking about playing a Mexican or some shit. Gift #2: A DVD Player! DVD players are all the rage. VHS players are rad too, don't get me wrong. But DVD technology allows for some pretty great bonuses, such as special bonus features. I would imagine that there is some DVD version of Stand and Deliver that has an audio track of me discussing what it was like playing a Mexican! But then again, I imagine A LOT of things (hint, hint!!!!!!) 3a. ME! I will gladly appear, for considerably less money than you think, under your Xmas stockings or Chanukah socks (Jews!), and stay there well into the New Year! I don't bite (unless you ask ;)), and will even discuss any one of my roles as a Mexican while your favorite LouDP VHS tape or DVD is playing! Because fuck it, right? 4. Half of the bottle of Early Times Brand Whiskey I am currently drinking. Actually make that a third a bottle ;).. (DRINKY STINKY!!!!!!) gift number e: Did you see Young Guns? Shits classsssic. Get the DVD, or VHS tape. I was in it, FYI. Remember BETAMAX. hawhahawwda. Forget my fourth suggestion, hahaha. You ever been to Minnesota? Great Lakes, my huuuuge ass...
