Remember the 80's?!? They Were Crazy!

Hello my friends! Totally new feature above. Click on the picture you see or here to read about what your favorite Head of the Class cast members are up to almost 20 years after the show's debut! You may be pleasantly surprised!

In other news, promotional materials are still being produced, but the New Expression Spring Break! is still scheduled for Saturday April 10th at Spanganga Gallery/Theatre in SF's Mission District. With lots of great art by lots of great artists, your favorite lunchboxing writers reading their favorite lunchboxing articles, new funny videos and DANCING DANCING DANCING, be sure to mark your calendars now! Stay tuned here for more details, starting tommorow, or if you would like to be added to the LUBO mailing list drop me a line at jamie@lunchboxing.com. Here are pics from our last show.

Lastly, our very special friends (and New Expression co-conspirators) at weapon-shaped records have recently updated their not too frequently updated website! It looks as sharp as the music they put out. Go to the site and buy an album or three. Now.

Powered By... Love!

So we got this feature, the one above, about what to do with your tricked out Honda or Acura. It's mostly just a silly list, giving a good ol' fashioned razzin' to those kids you see with loud exhausts that speed past you on the freeway in group formation, and have stickers that say "powered by" and then the stupid name of their crew (the one that speeds past you on the freeway in group formation). Or maybe "powered by" refers to the engine maker or some shit. I just don't know. And maybe I never will. And I am totally ok with that! Then why this diatribe, flammy? Well, allow me to explain. You see, lunchboxing, while possibly offensive at times, mostly aims for sweet, good, positive-time fun. Sure we've had features that poke fun at Bea Arthurs' vagina, and made up rumors about Lily Tomlin and Halle Berry. We've made jokes at Michael Jackson and Edward James Olmos' expense, but shit, that only makes us human. I'm sure any one of these people would join us for a drink and have a good laugh over it all, save for Halle Berry, who probably thinks she's too good for us. And Bea Arthur may take offense to the vagina bit, but that's understandable, I guess. I mean, it is her vagina and all. But anyways, it occured to me before posting this feature, based entirely on a subculture I have absolutely no knoweldge of, that some people might be offended. I mean, a very, very select few, but a few nonetheless. Is offending people what I want to do with this site? Absolutely not! LUBO is here to make the world brighter. Luminescent with funny-sunny-rays! We are not like every other "I am pissed at the world, now here me rant" type site. No way. Only smiley positive spiritual vibrations here. And so I have decided to keep the feature, because if I was surfing the internet and found a list of things for 27 year old Jewish receptionists that make silly-fun-websites at work to do in shitty, run down, acid stained piece of shit pre-1992 Ford Explorers, I would laugh my arse off for several seconds and/or minutes, and laughing is a wonderul thing that spreads joy. And so we rejoice!
