We Laugh For Your Sins

It's Christmas Eve. Which as we know, means that Jesus Christ will be flying into homes (in the United States of America), stealing their cookies, and leaving awesome presents. Or so I've been told by my Christian friends. You see, as a Jewish boy, I have been neglected when it comes to exposed to the storied history and fabled lore that is Christmas. I do not know what the holiday means, what it is about, or what "spirit of the season" entails. This makes me sad. Very sad. I want Jesus to come to my duplex. Are you listening Jesus? I want you to come to my duplex! Thank you in advance for my presents.

Forgive me. Was that a weird thing to write? Do I care? Maybe? I just needed an excuse to use the phrase "fabled lore," and something about Jesus and duplex makes me giggle, particularly because I don't live in one and I like the idea of someone finding this site by doing a google search for "spirit of the season." That's all.

So for the holidays this year, we have three fun treats for you. First off, click the above picture (yes, two Lou Diamond Phillips related features in two days), or here for last year's LUBO Classic Lunchboxing's Budget Holiday Shopping Guide. It's good! Then read this holiday edition of triangle & mac
! It's good! Finally, we have a new installment of Frankie's Favorite Records, with reviews on three more albums you've probably never heard including Chameleons UK, Don Caballero, and Van Dyke Parks. It's good! On the note of goodness, may you all have a wonderful Channukah and Christmas and Kwannza and "holiday-in-general" and Winter season. Oh yeah, one more thing... SUCK IT!!!!

Seasons Laughings (Play On Words)

I think you will thorughly enjoy this Holiday Greeting From Lou Diamond Phillips. He took the time to contribute to lunchboxing, so won't you please take the time to read it and love it? Please? Thanks. Also, to commemorate the visit of Mike Senese to the Bay Area after two and a half years doing LUBO correspondence abroad, check out the LUBO classic The Heart Of Rock & Roll Is Still Beating. I think after reading it, you will agree, that the heart of rock & roll is indeed... still beating. More features coming soon!!!
