LUBO Supports The Arts

My apologies for almost an entirely contentless week. No, I wasn't trying to avoid bumping my precious grill from the top of the page. But due to firewalling issues, I have not had access to the site. Yes, of every single web-page in the entire universe, the one site I have not had access to is lunchboxing. As you might imagine, this sucks fat flavor-balls. Bad tasting flavor-balls, mind you. Fortunately, I have stockpiled some super articles for next week, so the only flavor-balls we will be sucking in the near future are the delicious kind. Mind you. So in an effort to keep things consistent and artsy, I will simply give you this brand new art-themed triangle and mac cartoon (Art Mirrors "Life"), this Miller High Life drawing sent to me by LUBO pal Kate of obsessiveconsumption.com, and a bunch of sweet-time information for three fantasmic art openings you might want to attend if you are in San Francisco or Berkeley this weekend.

Tonight from 6-12 at the Nexus Gallery in Berkeley (2701 8th street), Crackpot Illustration will be presenting their newest works. This includes Lisel Ashlock, who has shown work at both lunchboxing New Expression shows. We are like, totally down with Lisel. So go. We will all be there. Click here for all the details. Another LUBO favorite who has participated in our New Expression shows in the past, Matt Furie, will also be showing work tonight, at 923 Post Street. Click here for more information. Lastly, tommorow night, our friends at fecal face are throwing a huge benefit opening at Punch Gallery with the art and the music and the booze and all that. Go. Look for me. I may or may not be wearing a hat. yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaw!

27 (Like The Show 24 But With Three More)

Please pardon the self referentialness of the above "moving pic," but it seemed relevant and fun and my way of thanking Jason Betrue for honoring my birthday in animated gif-form. If you click on it you can then see my way of thanking Michelle Romo for her honoring of my birthday in animated jpeg-form. Thanks guys! Although the only thing that comes with the big 2-7 is an added level of patheticness to my "shit-phone" job status. Oh well. You all reap the benefits of the free time my job affords me in the semi-hilarious/barely understandable lists and the such! And without this job I wouldn't have the time to put up my very own art galleries on fecal face. My gallery is entitled "flammy" and you may see some familiar faces. Leave a positive comment! And also check out "chi's" gallery a few lines below mine. It's puuurty sweet too. And also check out fecal face's Arty Party if you are in San Francisco this weekend. Gonna be kinda like the New Expression was last weekend, but in a bigger place and with more people. Should be a hoot. And shit.

Hey there! Still here after that two line break? Check out some more shit then! Start with this craig's list ad found by Eric if you are looking to make an extra buck. Then click here if you want to see LUBO's stats (our biggest month ever, 22,00 unique "users"!!!!), and here if you want to see the keyword searches that got people to the site, from "how to make methamphetamines," to "sex at the mall," to "kpbes penis size." No joke! I'm sure all these people found exactly what they were looking for! Ciao, yo.
