Friendboxing/Lunchster (Clever)

There is an article in the new Spin Magazine (my usual airport magazine fare) about Friendster. I don't remember exactly what it was about, but I think it ended on a negative note. Well, let me just tell you, there is nothing negative about Lunchboxing's friendster location. Just positive vibrations. And cheesiness. But what the hey, I need yet another diversion to keep me away from posting regularly to lunchboxing. If it can at least be lunchboxing related, all the better. So if you are hooked into this friendster business, ask us to be your friend. We totally will be. And since we are on the subject, re-read Wet Hot American Friendster by Jeremy Padow. Just because.

In other business, there is a short interview with artist Matt Furie on the New Expression page (which is one week from tommorow) and here is a lil' something I designed for t-shirts to promote my favorite drug. You like? Lastly, another special night of sweet, sweet sounds at The Temple Bar in Santa Monica with our resident favorites, Tables of Contentthis Sunday at 9:45 pm. And tommorow and Sunday (October 18-19), between 11 and 6, you can buy cheap, but beautiful artwork by Zenaida Sengo at 1117 geary st. #400 (between franklin and van ness) as part of the SF Open Studio thingy thang. Lastly, happy birthday Asshat. I think I just covered my ass.

The New Expression Fall Classic!

When I first started my job a year and a half ago, our kindly Accounts Payable lady gave me a small bag from Trish's Mini Donuts that said "Fill'er Up Special." Apparently they (Trish's Mini-Donuts) would fill the bag with as many mini-donuts as could fit, for FREE! So naturally, I waited a year and a half to redeem my mini-donuts. And OF COURSE the day I go in just happens to be the GRAND OPENING for the new Hot Dog and Salad joint that went up in its place. And OF COURSE they wouldn't fill my bag with free hot dogs instead. And OF COURSE they opened a place that sells hot dogs and salads exclusively. And OF COURSE looking at the little bag just now, I realize that the donuts would have never been free in the first place, but rather a filled bag for $1.99. Which I guess isn't too bad. But more than I usually like to pay for mini-donuts. That's all. I found the picture above while searching for mini-donuts and fell in love with the name of the place. Snacky's. How adorable! I want to eat there soooooooo baaaaaaad. I am totally serious. No, really... Anyhoooooo... We have a stylish review from the Goapele show at Yoshi's the other night by Lucy Williams(female) for you today. It contains a sexy picture. If that's your "thing." Also, we have a short interview with Kevin Panozzo (male), who will be showing his artwork at The New Expression Fall Classic, which if you didn't know, is in exactly 9 days. Click here for more information, and other new features. Lastly, best name ever: Teta Flick. Sweet tits. ;)
