Pond Walkin'![]() Folks, brace yourself. Lunchboxing is proud to debut it's first short video, Pond Walkin'. It features Chris Wesibart and Jamie Flam, as well as the voice of Jason Betrue. It was filmed on location in Eugene, Oregon. It was featured in The New Expression. And now it's arrived at LUBO. The best part is we have plenty more where this came from. It may take a little while to download depending on your connection, and it may even "just not work at all," but if you can withstand the wait, you are in for a treat. Or you may hate it. You are entitled to your opinions. So click the above pic, or here and have some fun. bullied by jamie flam on 7/24/2003 :: Grease... WORD. ![]() When I was a kid I used to act in plays every summer. I was in the play Grease twice. The first time I played "Random Chorus Extra #16". I was eleven maybe. I think my one line was "Hey guys, wait for me!!!" My goal was to spend the entire summer putting myself into positions with people where they would leave without me, where I would have to actually say something like "Wait for me," or "Wait up," so that when my time on stage came around I'd really feel the line. But I think I pissed in bushes and watched cartoons instead. It didn't matter, I nailed the fuck out of the line anyways. The second time I was in the play, a year later, I was Roger. Roger is such a pivotal role in the onstage version that I don't even think he's in the movie adaptation. Well, he is, but in the movie version he doesn't have his very own song, which I most certainly did. It was about mooning (removing pants, facing ass towards humans) my girlfriend, Jan. Which is kinda weird for a 12 year old to sing. I remember it was my goal to moon friends and family members constantly all summer to really get to the heart of the character. But I think I pissed in bushes and watched cartoons instead. And started to "discover my body". Which seemed to work, as I nailed the fuck out of the line. And did well on stage in my acting role too. zing! It was good. Tim Kasher from the bands Cursive and The Good Life was one of the opening acts, and he was incredible. At one point Paws overheard this guy talking about an interview he read with Rilo Kiley's lead singer, Jenny Lewis, and Paws realized the guy was talking about the interview he had done for lunchboxing! Paws was totally psyched and decided we should run his Jenny Lewis interview again, since Rilo Kiley's tour is still continuing with occasional appearances by Tim (Kasher this time)!!! You can read the interview here, or click here to read lunchboxing's interview with Paws in which he answers the question he is most often asked about the other interview. (The one with Jenny Lewis, not the one we'd like to do with Kasher.) Also, you can hear songs by Rilo Kiley or Tim Kasher's bands by clicking here. (Thanks!) bullied by jamie flam on 7/22/2003 :: Making It In The Working World ![]() Hey all. As promised, this week is going to be like all totally feature-laden and stuff. For real. And we will get started with this piece of fun I wrote. A new installment of Jamie Goes To Hollywood entitled "Making It In The Working World". My hope is that some Hollywood agents will come across it and offer me a few million dollars to make it. Then I will be like "Fuck you!" and make it myself in an effort to keep my artistic integrity. Or autistic integrity. I think I have a good joke set up here... Why didn't the piano playing prodigy autistic teenager sign on with Capitol Records? He wanted to keep his autistic integrity! Ok. I hope I didn't offend anyone with that. Not so much people that are sensitive about autism/mentally/physically challenged jokes, as people that are sensitive about horrible, unfunny jokes. Me shutty uppy now. Have a sweet-nice week. And start getting excited about this Friday's Digital Mix Show, sponsored by the Electronic Frontier Foundation and XLR8R Magazine. It will be off the heez, and is featuring LUBO friends Meanest Man Contest. More information and interviews coming later this week! bullied by jamie flam on 7/21/2003 :: |
