Weekend Potpourri of Laffs N' Such

Holiday weekends call for holiday celebrations. This holiday weekend, lunchboxing celebrates inter-web style with a virtual feast of delightful treats, each one more delicious than the last. First, check out this well deserved bashing to Lily Tomlin. Then read as Frankie Koeller reveals the true story behind Hall, followed by Oates. Next, dig into the newest installment of Triangle & Mac. After this, read how Jeff Berson breaks down Shaq... in interview form! Finally, read up on what's shaping up to be the most exciting show in the history of shows: Lunchboxing presents The New Expression! All this to celbrate Memorial Day as well as LUBO contributor Lucy Williams' recent hire at Mystery Machine Productions. Congrats Lucy!

I will be taking off this evening for a wedding in Vancouver, since you care. From there I am headed South to Seattle and then into Eugene to hang out and work on movie and New Expression stuff with Chris Weisbart, since you care. Super-star Jason Betrue will be taking over posting and commentary duties next week, since you care. Respect him in the same way you respect me: by doing nothing. Have a sweet weekend, friends. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaw!

We're Famous!

Our name is totally on a poster! It's pretty small, so you'll have to take our word for it. What's it for? It's for a big event on Saturday in Downtown Oakland to celebrate the release of Kitchen Sink Magazine's third issue, which has a "stalker" theme. What will we be doing at this event? In addition to playing two videos we produced, we will have LUBO representatives in the fashion show being put on by Oaktown Stitchdown. They will also be walking around the event all night, probably drunk and picking up on members of the opposite sex. In a tasteful manner of course. So... you should all go, even though I will be in Vancouver for a wedding and Frankie's band is playing somewhere in San Francisco. So now, features, features... I have a bunch of features I am working on getting up, but they are still not in "LUBO form" just yet. "LUBO form" meaning "translated from Japanese to English" which as you all know, is what every article must go through seeing as how all LUBO writers are Japanese. In the heart-butt. Read this classic for now.

The Wood Revisited

Friday night's party at The Wood did not dissapoint. While at no point was there a girl riding on a guy's shoulders (to my knowledge), there were plenty of other occurances that would place the fiesta as a notable evening in the history of the world, including: an extended appearance by a gang of motorcycle hooligan clowns who destroyed Sharky the Pinata and made enough noise on their bikes upon departing to result in an angry letter from the neighbors, a keg-stand by our 6'7, sharp-dressed pal Peter, a good ol' fashioned hand clappin' 'stravaganza, the chance to meet the author of this article, and several other happenings that will probably be brought to light at a later date. We even had that one guitar playin' dude that acts like he can't play but then ends up playing expertly well, for like 4 hours, play to a living room of swooning ladies who smiled and clapped and sang along while I cowered in my bedroom because I can't handle being in that room with that guitar playin' dude because I am too insecure to handle how seriously everyone is taking it or something, for like, 4 hours. It was an annoyingly perfect way to cap off an evening such as that. Here's a great pic of the party for you to enjoy until I can get a sweet feature together for once.

love always,
j a m i e.
