![]() For some reason girls just love to come to me with their problems. Especially men troubles. Well, being a sly, dirty dog myself (I just can't help myself ;)), I know the inner workings of the male mind, and love to offer my two cents whenever I can. So here's a slightly offensive new column I have created as a forum for women lunchboxing readers to let their voices be heard. Click here! bullied by jamie flam on 9/27/2002 :: Burns, Baby, Burns ![]() How much do you love the title of this post? I swear I could write front page headlines for a living. What? You don't get it? Oh, did I forget to mention that the above picture is Ken Burns? You know, of "Documentarian Ken Burns"? Well, he makes documentaries for PBS. He did that one on Jazz. And baseball. And the Civil War. I just now realized that there is in fact two plays on words going on in Burns, Baby, Burns: of course his name is one...the other, the burning of Atlanta by General Sherman in the Civil War. The war documented by Ken Burns. The documentary viewed by Chris Weisbart in Oregon last night that inspired this second installment of "The Oregon Trail", entitled "The Excellence of Emancipation". bullied by jamie flam on 9/27/2002 :: IT'S LADIES' NIGHT AT S P I E G E L M A N I A ! ! ! For all the film's tom foolery, it gives a surprisingly accurate view of what it's like to attend a school full of geniuses. Quarterbar's review of "Real Genius" is an informative and worthwhile read even if it doesn't cover the entirety of plot twists. Let's relive a classic film! bullied by Quarterbar on 9/26/2002 :: "Hurrah!" for CD Reviews! Seven of them! ![]() That's right, folks. Seven record reviews, and all under the guise of a "theme" of workplace jams. This article is especially relevant if you work in an office like myself. For those of you who don't, send me some reviews on the type of music you listen to at the: construction site, plant, factory, crib, restaurant, g-spot, distillery, hospital, corral, beach club etc.. It makes for good readin'! bullied by jamie flam on 9/26/2002 :: ![]() When Dan told me he was sending me a character list I assumed he was sending me a list of font types, perhaps wingdings. Naturally I was confused and excited. Only having met Dan once, I didn't know what to make of his declaration. "Why me?" I thought. Why doesn't he send these wingdings to someone more special than me? Then I figured it out. Dan is sending me this character list because he wants me to look over it and tell him what I think. But that made even less sense the more I thought about it. Finally he sent me the character list and I soon realized that it had nothing to do with wingdings at all. It was a top ten list of famous pop culture characters. To put on this site. Rad! bullied by jamie flam on 9/25/2002 :: ![]() Today was a slow day for lunchboxing. That explains why I took the time to write a totally shitty review about the soundtrack for the movie UHF by "Weird Al" Yankovic. I mean, it has it's high points, don't get me wrong. But let's just say it won't be getting any literary awards this year. Maybe next year. By the way, did you happen to see the completely crazy "Weird Al" tattoo in the above picture?!?! The best part is, the guy [who's arm is pictured above] also has tattoos of "Weird Al"'s bass player, drummer, and guitar player. I'd say that he is a complete freak, but I can't. You see, I went to see Al live at Dr. Demento's 25th anniversary show when I was in Junior High, and have Dr. Demento's, "Weird Al"'s, and his bassist's autograph to prove it. So fuck you. Oh yeah, click on the tattoo to read the article. bullied by jamie flam on 9/23/2002 :: |
