You Can Find Me...![]() Hey gang! I hope you've been enjoying the oven mitts I posted a few weeks ago. They're HOT! (Get it?!) I don't anticipate the frequency of my posting on Lunchboxing will be increasing anytime soon, so I thought I'd point you to another web destination that will feature my daily observations: The Westside Eclectic Blog will be a new homebase for a while, as we are trying to drum up more interest in the daily going-ons of the theater and our ongoing projects. On the performance side of things, I've been limiting my on-stage time to improv of late, while focusing more on video production for now. I perform regularly with WE House Team "The Corporation," so check the WE website for upcoming show dates (Incidentally we perform tonight, as well as this Sundays, and most Thursday evenings). As for video, we've been producing a bunch, and will be releasing them soon. Click here for a sneak peak of a video I wrote and produced for The WE called "That's Health-O-Tainment with Randy Maz." It stars the amazingly hilarious Alex Enriquez. There will be more soon, and you will most likely get quicker updates on The Westside Eclectic Blog, so check there. First of all, that neighborhood is a slice of heaven. I felt like I was on a small town Main Street in Vermont. Or at least what I'd envision was a small town Main Street in Vermont: lots of small shops with garden themes, the leaves were changing colors, and a certain quaintness that I haven't seen a lot of since coming back to LA a year ago. I mean, there are certainly a lot of cute neighborhoods, but even cute neighborhoods generally have in them a feeling of the enormity of the rest of the city. This neighborhood was kinda tucked in and shielded from it all, which was nice. The cafe itself was great... amazing food, lots of little nooks, and a bookstore right in the middle. The chocolate chip cookies looked ridiculous too, but I was too full to make it happen afterwards. You should go there sometime. bullied by jamie flam on 12/09/2006 :: LUBO Renaissance? ![]() Nope. Just a little housekeeping. Thought it was time to add a beaver to the mix. And my name. And a poem. There is something so awesome about that picture, and about icebergs in general. There is also something really scary about them. Their depth, their freezing temperatures, the fact that they exist even when no one is looking. I often think about how crazy it is that at any given moment while I am so focused on all my petty dramas, there are massive icebergs floating along the poles with no living things within hundreds of miles of them. It's scary and somehow humbling. And awesome. The second picture is of Victor French, who was on Little House on the Prairie and Highway to Heaven. Apparently he made an album of Mexican tunes. bullied by jamie flam on 11/29/2006 :: |
